Hi, I'm Aoife and I'm a fourth year Medical Student in UCD. I first got involved in AMSI as a member of the UCD local committee and as Vice President for Sponsorship last academic year. At the IFMSA General Assembly in March 2021, I sat on the International Standing Committee for Medical Education where I discovered a passion for Medical Education Issues. My name is Nitika and I am the National Exchange Officer - Incoming for this year. My job essentially is to organize exchange programs for medical students in Ireland who hope to gain travel and clinical experience. I believe that these programs, in the forms of clinical, research and public health exchanges, are such a lovely way for students to learn practically and establish a different perspective on healthcare. Hello! My name is Elizabeth Williamson, and I am the Neuroaesthetics Projects Lead for AMSI! I have experience presenting topics such as consciousness, mental health, consent culture, and identity using my science-inspired visual art. I have also researched the link between consciousness and neuronal microtubules! As a medical student, I will use my art to speak about topics involving intersections between human rights, bodily autonomy, the brain, and mental health. Additionally, I aim to create neuroaesthetics events and provide free or low-cost art resources to anyone in need, so they can tell their stories.
